Panditji.

Voice, which had been vibrating around for last sixty years with the depth and melody, disappeared.
Pt.Bhimsen joshi jewel of Indian classical music is no more. In my childhood that was my first concert attended, still the notes of Raga Todi are in my brain, it would never go away. I was very fresh and new to classical music but the impact of Panditji`s rendering of Raga Todi inspired me to take career as a music.
What to say, Tansen of this century. Once I was going through his biography, he run away from his home in search of the Guru. There was no money for traveling so he started singing songs in the train to get away from the ticket checker and whatever he use to get from the people to feed his belly. Such a great passion and love for the music took him to the highest honor of the country `Bharat Ratna’.More than that the love and respect he got from the people of India is unbelievable.Spicily in Maharashtra each and every house hold has his voice very familiar due to Sant wani. Thanks to the print and electronic media paying attention and bringing those articles in details about pandit ji.Though he is not with us any more, his voice will be always with us.
May God rest his soul in Peace.
Vedang Dharashive.
